Memory Games
Before playing these memory games, it's recommended to learn more about what the memory is and some techniques to improve it. If you have difficulty remembering new names, new faces, phone numbers, or constantly misplacing your keys, missing appointments, not remembering to pay your bills (and end up paying late fees), or forgetting your anniversary ...etc. All these issues can ruin your day and sometimes ruin your future (not when you forget paying your bills but when you forget your marriage anniversary). For most cases you don't need medication to boost your memory, all you need is some training and some techniques (you can call them tricks too). If you don't stimulate the areas responsible for storing information, those areas become lazy and don't do the job to perfection. So you may want to give these games a try. But before the memory test, it is extremely helpful to read the rest of the page first, since it contains useful information about how to improve your memory.
First we will discuss why the memory fails the first place, it seems that there are thousands of ways it could fail, but in reality there are only 3 reasons: failure to register the information, failure to retain the information, and finally failure to remember (or retrieve) the information.
So memory improvement techniques are usually dealing with these 3 failures, the process of improving it can be done with few steps that can be performed effortlessly. For example many people have trouble remembering faces. A simple technique is to examine a person's face discretely when you are introduced. Try to find an unusual feature, ears, hairline, forehead, eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, complexion, etc.
Now to remember a name you can create an association between that characteristic, the face, and the name in your mind. The association may be to link the person with someone else you know with the same name or a name that sounds closer. Also you can associate a rhyme or image of the name with the person's face or defining feature. (Continued below)
